Angel de la Portilla

Angel de la Portilla is President of Central Florida Strategies. Mr. de la Portilla has more than two decades of experience as a business owner and consultant with a unique understanding of government, politics, and business. As a native Floridian and resident of Central Florida for over 20 years, he has formed valuable relationships throughout the State of Florida. In his role as government consultant, Mr. de la Portilla works very closely with local and state elected officials, as well as, members of staff among various municipalities, school districts, and county governments in Central Florida.

Mr. de la Portilla' s wide array of experience includes representing real estate developers on local government matters involving land use and zoning changes, impact fee deferrals and reductions, assistance with permitting issues, and representation on real estate transactions with the public sector. Mr. de la Portilla has also been involved as a government consultant on large-scale construction and transportation projects representing firms involved in design, engineering, program management, and construction.

At Central Florida Strategies, Mr. de la Portilla has developed an impressive portfolio of clients that include industry-leading Fortune 500 companies, as well as, key regional and local companies. He has also worked with his clients in identifying local minority and women-owned companies for teaming efforts for large public sector projects.

Mr. de la Portilla has served on local government advisory boards including the Orange County Affordable Housing Board (2007-2012) and the Orange County Charter Review Commission (2007-08) and (2011-12) as the Mayor's appointee.
In 2012, he participated in Leadership Orange, administered by Orange County Public Schools, and was a graduate of Class 2.

Active in Central Florida's business community, Mr. de la Portilla is a current member of several Chambers of Commerce including the Greater Orlando Chamber, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Osceola Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Economic and Government Affairs Committee for the West Orange Chamber. He is also very active in efforts to bring Major League Soccer to Orlando and serves on the MLS Advisory Board for the Orlando City Soccer Club.

Finally, Mr. de la Portilla is also active in numerous local charitable organizations in Central Florida that include the Boys Scouts of America, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Orange County Education Foundation.

Juan Jimenez, Research Assistant

Juan Jimenez handles research and special projects for Central Florida Strategies. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Jimenez worked for over three years in Orange County Government. In that role, he performed a variety of tasks that acquainted him with the way local government works. Mr. Jimenez is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in business administration. After graduating from UCF, Mr. Jimenez obtained his Florida Real Estate License and joined NAI Realvest as an associate handling commercial real estate sales and leasing, tenant representation, corporate services, international clients and special projects.
